 What is JavaScript?

JavaScript is a lightweight, interpreted scripting language with object-oriented capabilities that allows you to build interactive webpages. It is well integrated  and embedded in most of the popular web browsers such as Firefox, Internet explorer, Chrome, Netscape and other web browsers.

In interpreted languages, the computer directly executes the instructions written in the programming or scripting language without requiring them to compile into machine language program.

You are free to modify the code as the program runs.
