JavaScript variables

 Lesson 3: JavaScript variables

Data is something that’s meaningful. Its facts and figures.

For example email, name, dob, etc.., is data.

To store data we need variables. They are pretty much labels or boxes where you put your data.

Using variables you can quickly manipulate data dynamically. We will see how we do this in the next article.

You use var or let to create Javascript variables. Let’s see the syntax. These end with semi colons. Good practice.

var nameOfVariable;

let nameOfVariable;

Geeky stuff:

Variables are named memory locations. They point to a memory address.

Variable names can be made up of numbers, letters, and $ or _, but may not contain spaces or start with a number.
